King of Silicon Valley, Steve Jobs

To call Steve Jobs “father of apple”, “god of apple” seems to be an understatement. I’d say King of Silicon Valley is an more appropriate title, and its not an overstatement. Having lived in Silicon Valley, Cupertino,  most of my life I have seen how much apple has grown as a company through out the years. No one has got more resilience and persistence and love for technology than Steve Jobs. From the Apple 1 to the iphone 4S, and everything in between, the one man behind all this, the man that saved apple, the man that changed the world, we point to Steve Jobs. Apple is now a global icon, like coke, mcdonalds, same with the ipods iphones imacs. Apple has made its way into our lives.

I live in Cupertino, next to the main Apple campus, and this news hit me pretty hard. Knowing the 1 man that makes Silicon Valley alive,  the legend, is no longer with us today. Something that was always here, someone that everyone looked up to, is no longer with us. To us techies, music lovers, his products was truly amazing, only in the span of a few years, he has made a difference in our lives. Even through recession, everyone had hope for Apple products, everyone was willing to spend the money.  I remember the days i was using macs at elementary school, the time i got my first ipod, iphone, waiting in line at the apple store, these memories brings joy and i think its something rare, an experience we prob won’t ever experience again, at least not the same way. We are extremely lucky to have such a hero in our lives, and im sure we will be talking about him for generations to come. There are many criticisms about his private life, but we need to look past his imperfections and remember his greatness and his achievements, and all that he have done for us. Whatever direction apple may take in the future, or whatever happens to apple, i think no one else will look at apple the same way again.

my favorite quote;

“If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.”

Live everyday like it is your last.

I will be doing another blog soon, a tour of the main Apple Campus, and hopefully by then they will have build a proper monument for Steve jobs.

Forever he will be remembered, RIP Steve Jobs.
