I recently bought the Sony A55, since there is a sale going on for $50 off original price so you only pay $800 with the lens kit. There are also plenty of other Sony cameras on sale atm. My first impression is simply like DAMN this camera is beast. This camera was also named Time’s top 50 inventions of 2010, and also has a Gold award from DP Review.

i really never had a change to work with a DSLR before so this is my first one, and i was blown off on how well the image quality was from some of the pictures i took today. so check these out.

Strong key points of this camera; mainly features that blows away the competition out there.

- SLT, which means, translucent mirror technology
-fast shutter speed 1/4000
-10 fps continuous shooting
-GPS tags your images for flickr etc.
-super fast auto focus, faster than any other dslr ive got to play with soo far,
-live view autofocus , havent see this technology on other cameras before
-sensor-based image stabilization system, which means every lens becomes a stabilized lens.
-built in sweep panorama mode.
-1080p recording, with full time auto Focus
-small compact / solid build quality
-rotatable large lcd screen, so its easier to shoot on many awkward angles etc.
